This is a UNIQUE PADI Specialty written by and accredited to Thresher Shark Divers Malapascua only!
The PADI Thresher Shark Diver Specialty Course was written by Andrea, the owner of Thresher Shark Divers, and over the years has been added to immensely by our Instructor team, bringing many thousands of shark dives worth of experience to the course.
This is a PADI sanctioned course, written in conjunction with their educational consultants, but Thresher Shark Divers is the only dive shop in the world where you can do this particular course, making it TRULY UNIQUE!
Shark Dives at Kimud Shoal
During the two dives you will focus on Kimud Shoal and how to dive with thresher sharks. You will lead a dive in search of sharks. You will observe the sharks and add the information to our shark database.

- In-field observation methods such as how to determine gender, categorizing movement patterns etc.
A Student’s Thoughts on the Thresher Shark Diver Course
Long time TSD guest, Steve Tapply, has done many thresher shark dives on various trips to Malapascua since 2007. Many years later, he finally decided to take the course, and it transformed his shark dives!
Prerequisites
Be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver or have completed the Adventure Deep dive.
