Blue Coral Resort on Malapascua (also called Blue Corals Beach Resort) sits at the tip of Bounty Beach on a rocky outcrop with some of the best views on the island. It is about 50 metres from Thresher Shark Divers, making it one of the most convenient options for our guests. The resort was refurbished in recent years and now offers a solid mix of budget and mid-range accommodation.

Blue Coral has 29 rooms and 8 private bungalows, so there is a good range of options. Standard Fan Rooms are the most affordable, with two double beds and a fan. Junior Suites and Deluxe Rooms are air-conditioned, with either double or queen beds. The bungalows are tucked into the garden, with six of them offering A/C. All rooms include a private bathroom, hot water shower, and breakfast. Most have a balcony or terrace, and many have direct ocean views.

The garden-view fan rooms are widely considered one of the best budget deals on Malapascua. You get a clean, comfortable room with breakfast included, steps from the beach, for very little money.

Facilities and What to Expect

Blue Coral has an on-site restaurant serving both international and Filipino food, and a standout feature: an outdoor bar built on the rocks at the very tip of the property, offering near-360-degree sunset views. It is one of the best spots on the island for an evening drink. Free Wi-Fi is available, though it’s patchy in the garden rooms, but the local signal is very good, along with laundry service, massage, and a small boutique.

Location

The resort is on the western end of Bounty Beach, right at the point where the sand meets the rocks. It is a short walk from dive shops, restaurants, and the rest of the Bounty Beach strip. For divers staying here and diving with TSD, the commute is about one minute on foot.
